Breast augmentation
The surgery consists of inserting breast implants to change the volume and shape of the breasts. This aesthetic choice may follow a pregnancy or weight loss, or simply a desire for improved well-being and femininity.
The choice of the size and shape of the breast augmentation is made during the consultation, between the surgeon and her patient, according to her wishes ,anatomy, and the elasticity of the skin.
Breast augmentation surgery consists of making “space” in your chest to place the breast prosthesis/implants, in front of or behind the pectoral muscle or in a “dual plane”. There are then 3 possibilities of access to this “space”, the incision made by the surgeon through: axillary (armpits), submammary (fold under the breast) and areolar (through the areola).
The choice of technique will depend mainly on the volume of the implants, the anatomy or the elasticity of the skin. Due to the the location and size of the incision, the scar after the operation will be as discreet as possible. But results will also depend on how your skin reacts. It is on this factor that the UrgoTouch ® laser will act on during the operation.

THE OPERATION
- Performed under general anesthesia by a plastic surgeon. A local anesthetic can be added to relieve postoperative pain
- Lasts from 1 to 2 hours
- The surgical procedure:
- Incision and detachment of the skin
- Implant insertion according to the chosen path
- Suture the incision
- UrgoTouch ® laser treatment possible after suturing
- At most 1 night of hospitalization
THE SCAR
Depending on the surgical technique, there are 3 possibilities:
- Axillary scar, under the armpits.
- Submammary scar, at the fold under the breast.
- Areolar scar, in the lower semicircle.
To know
Scars are normally very discreet because they are not located in areas of tension and are hidden (under the armpits, under the breast curve, around the areola). However, a beautiful scar is not guaranteed: the final result will depend on the patient’s skin and can be improved thanks to the use of the UrgoTouch ® laser
POST-OPERATION
- Rest for about 2 weeks
- Chest pain between 3 and 5 days
- Removal of sutures 10 to 15 days after the operation
- A wound dressing is placed for 4 weeks after the operation
- Wearing the bra support for up to 6 weeks
- Sports is not recommended within 2 months of the intervention
- Your surgeon will monitor the results of the operation and the progress of the healing process (duration to be defined with your surgeon)
- The first few weeks, due to postoperative edema, the breasts are larger. Final result between 3 and 6 months
- The result of the scar is definitive between 18 and 24 months
